How much does it cost?

It is free. There are no charges to register, apply for a job, or for finding you a job.

How does it work?

Once you submit your CV, you will receive a confirmation email.

A Recruitment Consultant will review your application - this can take up to two weeks depending on the volume of applications.

Following this, you will receive an email regarding your progress. If you are suitable, you will receive a call from the Consultant.

What types of jobs are there?

We only deal with white-collar recruitment - office, admin and professional. If you are looking for other roles, we suggest you contact other agencies that deal more closely with your line of work.

How do I make an appointment?

We only invite you in to meet with us if we have a suitable role. This is so you do not waste your time if we are unable to help you.

Please apply for any roles that interest you on our website, or submit your CV. If you are successful in progressive to an interview, one of our Consultants will invite you in to register.

Can you help me find work if I'm on a visa?

We are only able to help you if you possess a valid working visa. Visit our international candidates page for more information.

When can I expect a response to my application?

The response rate depends on the role you apply for and the demand for that role to be filled. This can take up to two weeks.

If you have submitted your CV without applying for a specific role, we will contact you when a suitable role becomes available.

We encourage you to keep checking our vacancies and apply for any that are suitable.

How do temp agencies work?

Employers pay the temp agency to find employees for them. This payment is usually a premium on the hourly rate that the temp agency pays the employee. The temp agency sources temp employees to fill the roles that employers are looking for.

Do you have to pay temp agencies?

The employee does not pay anything to a temp agency. The employee is paid by temp agency and the temp agency then charges the employer. Obviously there is a markup to cover the sourcing and associated costs. The rate itself will often vary according to the role and is usually calculated on an hourly basis.

Temp agencies will deduct taxes as required by law. There is no agency charge. The employer pays a premium for the use of the temp agency's services.

Do temp agencies pay holidays?

In Australia, the Fair Work Ombudsman defines the following requirements for casual employees:

Higher pay rate than equivalent full or part-time employees called a 'casual loading'. This is paid because they don't get benefits such as sick or annual leave.

2 days unpaid carer's leave and 2 days unpaid compassionate leave per occasion.

5 days unpaid family and domestic violence leave (in a 12-month period)
unpaid community service leave.

Do you have to take a drug test for temp agencies?

This may be a requirement, depending on the role and the company or industry.

Can you quit a temp job?

Yes, it is possible to quit a temp job. However, this may count against you, if you apply for another temp job.

Can a temp agency fire you?

Temp employees are subject to employment laws and agreements. Just like any other employee.

Can temp jobs become permanent?

Yes. Sometimes an employer may look to hire someone temporarily, as a way of trialling an employee. If things work out successfully, then they will offer permanent employment. Additionally, some temp jobs for cover work, may become permanent if the regular employee does not return for some reason.

Is temp to perm a good idea?

Yes, temp to perm is often beneficial for both the employee and employer. It is is good idea for both the employee and employer. It allows each of them to assess the suitability of each other, without the difficulties of having a long term commitment. It is similar to a "try before you buy" option.

How long does a temp job last?

Typically, a temp job will last from a few days, to a few weeks. However some temp jobs can go on indefinitely or turn into a permanent job.

What are the disadvantages of temporary job positions?

There is less stability or certainty with temporary positions. If you are looking for stable employment, then looking for temporary roles is more risky. There are no guarantees that when one temporary job finishes, that there will be another one for you to move on to.

Some employers or recruitment agencies, will discard a resume if they feel a candidate's profile is not suitable, due to the fact that there are many temp jobs listed.

Do temporary agencies do background checks?

Any reputably temporary agency will check the background of potential temp employees. This may include reference checks, police checks and potentially other background checks.

Do I need to meet with you?

No, you don't need to come into our office. Your allocated consultant will contact you via email and may schedule a time to call you if they need any additional information. 

How long does it take?

We generally prepare resumes in 3-5 business days, by mutual agreement between the client and allocated consultant.

Once you have received a draft in Word format, you are required to review the documents and provide any comments or feedback for editing. After your feedback and clarification is received, the changes are made and emailed back to you as final documents – ready to use.

We cannot guarantee you will receive a job as there are many factors that influences this outcome. That said we accept orders only when we know there’s a certain scope for improvement on your CV.
