ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a well-respected drilling company, with contracts all over Australia. Their promise is to provide efficient and professional services for all drilling and sampling requirements across Australia.

They pride themselves on being an ISO-accredited company, with an approachable management team and a dynamic workforce. They are seeking an experienced Accountant to take care of financial management in their Perth branch.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Accountant to assist the General Manager and Administration Accounts team that has seen a huge growth in the business and need some assistance to get the workload into order.

The duties for this position will include:

Processing weekly payroll and monthly super payments for 40 staff
AP and AR, general ledger operations, reconciliations and MYOB cashbook maintenance
Supporting the General Manager with end-of-month processes
Utilising financial data to prepare financial reports
Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Assisting with preparation and lodgement of BAS and payroll tax returns
Maintaining the fixed asset registers
Other ad-hoc duties as required

ABOUT YOU

This is a standalone role with broad responsibilities. It would suit an experienced Accountant or Financial Controller who has a sound understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting and HR.

The successful candidate will need:

Previous payroll experience - ideally MYOB Premier 19
CA/CPA qualification - or be working towards it
Mining, engineering or construction experience
Experience working with a ERP system
Intermediate computer skills - MYOB, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent communication skills
