Our client is a high-end importer of leisure equipment which offer an extensive range of parts and accessories, genuine apparel, giftware and collectables. They are a leading independently owned dealership in Western Australia. You will be welcomed by a dedicated sales team and a modern office environment located in Welshpool. 


ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will have oversight of all finance related activity, this role offers exceptional operational and strategic breadth. It is vital that you are accomplished in overseeing business performance, reporting, operational efficiencies and providing sound strategic and financial advice to the Managing Director.

The duties for this role will include:

  • Monthly and annual financial management and reporting 
  • Monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting 
  • Daily cash flow management and reporting
  • Complete annual tax returns 
  • Maintain the fixed assets register and calculate depreciation 
  • Prepare and lodge payroll tax, IAS/BAS and SGC  
  • Prepare figures for annual insurance renewals
  • Support the CEO with a variety of HR-related matters and documentation 
  • Reduce company costs and improve processes 
  • Strong technical accounting expertise combined with commercial judgement and insight 
  • A willingness to immerse yourself within a business and take a hands-on approach

ABOUT YOU

This is a standalone role with broad responsibilities and would suit an experienced Financial Controller who has a sound understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting, and HR.

The successful candidate will have:

  • CA / CPA qualification
  • Excellent analytical mind and skills
  • Strong Excel skills to produce complex spreadsheets for report
  • The ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • General HR management experience
  • Be capable of advising the CEO in relation to HR matters
  • The ability to work independently and as within a diverse team
  • The ability to interpret the Fair Work Award
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
