On average, our advertisements receive over 100 applications and perform well above the market benchmark for Seek, shown in this graph.

The role

The duties for this role will include:

  • Effective managing internal resources for projects (technicians etc.)
  • Leading the team to deliver projects within the agreed time frame and budget
  • Manage project milestone progress payments  
  • Designing and signing off on projects
  • Participating in tender processing (i.e designing, submitting and reviewing; and provide support to the sales teams in Australia, New Zealand and Asia- Pacific
  • Building successful working relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Preparing equipment selection and costing for project-specific proposals as well as standard product development and costing database development  
  • Co-ordinating and obtaining quotes from suppliers
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the delivery team
  • Ensure optimal control and compliance of QHSE, Enviro & Quality systems
  • Ongoing project risk management

About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Project Manager on projects circa $1 million 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering (Desired) 
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders including subcontractors and consultants
  • Experience in water and wastewater and air treatment equipment and processes
  • Must be able to do engineering measurements and understand mechanical specifications 
  • Proven project budget control with reasonable variations
  • Exceptional organisational, communication and computer skills
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of client contract requirements (incl. variations)
  • Undergo pre-employment medical assessment and drug tests

Assessment Matrix design

Our in-house designed, custom made software generates an Assessment Matrix, which is our blueprint for the recruitment process. Our process consists of screening, interviews, document verification, skills testing, personality profiling and reference checks.

Proven experience of successfully completed projects

Ability to do hand sketched drawings and understand engineering drawings (AutoCAD) including mechanical specifications

Experience of QHSE compliance in terms of equipment and workplace practices
