Our client provides a diverse range of Fire Detection and Emergency Evacuation Systems servicing commercial and multi-level residential complexes. As a consequence of growth within the sector and to cater for greater personalised service, this well-known organisation requires the services of an experienced Purchasing Officer to join them in a permanent role.
Being part of a specialised Supply Chain team, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining current relationships with existing vendors and to also foster new relationships with potential vendors to enhance the business.
The business, operating out of Balcatta in Western Australia, is a busy hub and as a consequence a team-player attitude will be a mandatory requirement. This position will focus primarily on Purchasing administration duties which will include the generation and maintenance of the requirements schedule, overdue orders and component shortage reports. Other duties include assisting the Senior Purchasing Officer in daily purchasing processes including placement of orders. It is expected you will be keen to further develop your skills in negotiation, implementing cost saving strategies in this role with current vendors or sourcing new vendors for evaluation and approval.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment. A suitably attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the ideal candidate who meets the following criteria:

- ISO 9001 Quality Systems
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision/ERP Software
- Manufacturing Industry experience.
