Tour Guide Position Available at Big Night Out Pub Crawl
 
Position Overview: Big Night Out Pub Crawl is a premier provider of unforgettable pub crawl experiences in Sydney, bringing together travellers, locals, backpackers, and students for an unforgettable night out. We are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and passionate Tour Guide to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to create memorable experiences while exploring Sydney’s best venues and helping guests make connections in a fun and safe environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Meeting & Greeting Guests: Greet guests with enthusiasm, scan tickets, provide wristbands, and give an introduction to ensure they’re ready for an exciting night out.
• Leading Pub Crawl Tours: Guide groups through 3-4 unique venues, ensuring guests have fun and social experiences at each stop while maintaining a safe and high-energy atmosphere.
• Engaging Guests: Facilitate social interactions, introduce guests to one another, and help shy or introverted individuals feel comfortable in the group.
• Managing Themed Events: Assist with weekly themed activities (e.g., Mardi Gras, Beach Party), distribute party items (like rainbow flags), and ensure an exciting atmosphere that matches the theme.
• Ensuring Guest Safety: Oversee safety during walks between venues, using light sticks at intersections to ensure safe crossing. Maintain responsibility and ensure a positive, secure experience for all guests.
• Facilitating Fun Activities: Organize games such as limbo, card games, conga lines, and dancing challenges to keep guests entertained and actively involved.
• Coordinating with Venues: Ensure smooth transitions between venues, manage time effectively, and keep the group on schedule.
• Providing Excellent Customer Service: Be the first point of contact for guests, answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure a positive experience throughout the night.
• Assisting with Logistics: Help with wristband distribution, ticket scanning, event setup, and cleanup when necessary.
• Controlling Guest Access & Safety: Ensure guests stay with the group, manage access to each venue, and maintain the flow of the event.
• Answering Questions & Commentary: Answer any questions guests have and provide commentary to enhance their experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, event, or tour guide role.
• Outgoing, energetic, and approachable with a passion for socializing and helping others enjoy their night.
• Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact with diverse personalities.
• Ability to lead a group confidently and ensure guest safety.
• A love for Sydney’s nightlife and knowledge of top venues is a plus.
• Previous experience in customer service, tour guiding, or event coordination is a bonus but not required.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Salary: Competitive salary based on experience from 70k – 80K + Super
