Our client is on the hunt for a Technical Specialist to join their team in South Australia.
About the opportunity
This role involves managing the South Australian sales territory, identifying new distributors, developing client relationships, and driving business growth. The position requires frequent travel for face-to-face meetings and product demonstrations.
In this role, you will:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors and end users
- Conduct site visits, deliver product demonstrations, and provide technical sales support
- Maintain accurate CRM records, track sales KPIs, and report on progress
- Stay updated on welding industry trends and product innovations
The first six months will involve gaining an in-depth understanding of the company’s products and business operations. By the 12-month mark, you will have developed strong relationships with distributors and positioned yourself as a trusted expert in the field. In the long term, this role offers career progression, with opportunities to expand into new markets and take on additional responsibilities.
About you
We are seeking a self-motivated sales professional with a strong technical background in welding or related industries. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to sales and the ability to manage their territory autonomously.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience in sales, business development, or account management
- A background in welding, engineering, or technical trades
- Strong skills in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Previous experience managing a CRM system
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
