Services Workshop Technician- Workplace Safety and Rescue

About the opportunity
 
This role primarily involves the servicing and maintenance of equipment, with a strong focus on customer service. The Services Workshop Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is ready and available for client shutdowns, maintaining stock levels, and overseeing site vehicles. This position offers a mix of workshop duties and occasional travel around Perth and to mines south of Perth.
 
In this role, you will:

  • Provide “first class” customer service with a willingness to exceed expectations
  • Liaise with customers and handle phone enquiries
  • Service and maintain safety equipment
  • Manage incoming and outgoing goods
  • Prepare equipment for shutdowns
  • Organise and manage stock and purchase orders
  • Maintain site vehicles

About you
 
This role would suit a methodical, customer centric person who has a keen eye for detail and a zest for customer service. You should be a proactive and organised individual that can manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a high level of responsibility. A good sense of humour will be an added bonus.
 
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: 

  • Driver’s license and a Forklift license
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Willingness to learn SAP for invoicing and quotes
  • Ability to manage and maintain equipment
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training and site visits
