The store offers Lotto, newspapers, magazines, a great selection of greeting cards, tobacco products, and an ATM for added convenience. Known for its excellent customer service and commitment to maintaining a well-stocked and organized store, Dural Newsagency has become a trusted destination for its loyal customer base.
 
As the business continues to grow, Dural Newsagency is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily operations, uphold high service standards, and lead a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, retail experience, and a passion for customer service, helping to maintain the store’s reputation for providing a welcoming shopping experience while ensuring product availability and efficient operations.
 
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Oversee the efficient daily operation of the newsagency, ensuring a smooth workflow and an exceptional customer experience.
• Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring newspapers, magazines, greeting cards, and other essential products are consistently available.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a well-stocked and up-to-date product range.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team to deliver excellent service and maintain store presentation.
• Monitor sales, track expenses, and manage budgets to ensure financial efficiency. Oversee cash transactions, including Lotto sales and ATM operations, ensuring proper procedures and security measures.
• Prepare and present sales and inventory reports for senior management, providing insights into store performance, customer buying trends, and operational improvements.
• Support store promotions and seasonal campaigns to attract new customers and increase sales. Identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement through in-store marketing initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, including those related to tobacco sales, while maintaining high store presentation and safety standards.

Work Experience and Skills:

• Relevant Qualification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience, preferably in a management role.
• Strong attention to detail and quick learning ability.
• Strategic and innovative mindset with clear communication skills.
• Exceptional leadership qualities, able to engage and motivate teams.

Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 – $80,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
