About our client
Our client is a well-established Western Australian leisure and entertainment business that welcomes thousands of visitors each year. Operating within a unique seasonal environment, the organisation supports both a permanent workforce and a significant seasonal team, requiring efficient payroll processes and a collaborative finance function.
Working within a close-knit Finance Team, you’ll become part of a supportive environment where teamwork, flexibility and continuous improvement are genuinely valued. Team members work together across payroll, accounts payable and finance administration, ensuring the business continues to operate efficiently throughout the year.

About the opportunity
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end fortnightly payroll process for both permanent and seasonal employees while providing support to the Accounts Payable function outside payroll processing periods.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys payroll but also values variety and being part of a collaborative finance team. You’ll work with modern systems, contribute to process improvements and play an important role supporting managers and employees across the organisation.
In this role, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing
  • Coordinate payroll onboarding and offboarding activities
  • Prepare employment contracts and maintain payroll records
  • Process superannuation, payroll tax and statutory payroll reporting
  • Manage payroll enquiries from employees and department managers
  • Prepare payroll journals and assist with general ledger reconciliations
  • Support Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, supplier administration and payment preparation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end finance activities
  • Contribute to improving payroll and finance processes as the business continues to evolve

You’ll work closely with the wider Finance Team to ensure payroll deadlines are achieved while providing support across finance whenever required. During peak seasonal periods, you’ll help manage increased onboarding activity and larger payroll volumes, while quieter periods provide the opportunity to contribute across accounts payable and broader finance administration.

About you
We’re looking for someone who enjoys payroll but also understands the value of being part of a collaborative finance team. You take pride in producing accurate work, remain organised under pressure and enjoy finding better ways of doing things.
You are likely to have worked in payroll within a commercial organisation and be comfortable managing end-to-end payroll while supporting other finance functions when required.
More importantly, you’re someone who enjoys learning, embraces new systems and likes being part of a team where everyone supports each other. You’re proactive, naturally curious and take ownership of your work, always looking for ways to improve processes rather than simply following them.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous end-to-end payroll experience
  • Exposure to accounts payable or finance administration
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet payroll deadlines
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider finance team
  • Confidence learning new systems and improving existing processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Australian working rights for permanent employment

Experience using Humanforce or similar payroll and time and attendance systems will be highly regarded, however full training will be provided.

What’s on offer
This is an opportunity to join a well-established Western Australian organisation where you’ll become a valued member of a supportive finance team.
You’ll enjoy genuine ownership of the payroll function while gaining exposure to broader finance activities, allowing you to develop your skills across both payroll and accounts payable.
The business values collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development, providing the opportunity to contribute ideas that improve systems and processes as the organisation continues to evolve.
You’ll also enjoy a range of employee benefits together with the opportunity to build a long-term career within a stable and well-established organisation.
