Formwork Carpenter - Randwick, NSW

We specialize in a wide range of construction services, including new builds, renovations, and remodelling projects in the Randwick, NSW 2031 area. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various formwork projects, from foundations to high-rise developments, while working alongside a passionate and professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all aspects of formwork carpentry, including constructing and shaping the forms that will hold concrete in place for foundations, columns, walls, and other structural elements
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to determine formwork requirements
- Build, install, and remove formwork for concrete pours, ensuring all work is done safely and to exact specifications
- Set out and measure the formwork, ensuring the accurate placement of formwork components
- Ensure all formwork is structurally sound, correctly aligned, and ready for the pouring of concrete
- Assist in the preparation of work sites, including site setup and clearing, ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, engineers, and project managers to ensure efficient workflow and quality outcomes
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite, adhering to all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Manage and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
Requirements:
- Proven experience (at least 1 year) as a Formwork Carpenter, with solid experience in residential and commercial construction projects. • Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of formwork techniques, materials, and construction codes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work
- Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- A commitment to health and safety practices on site
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport (preferred)
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience. This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $70,000 – $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
