Electronic Equipment Technician - Coogee, NSW

Position Overview

We are seeking a focused, motivated, and energetic individual for the role of Electronic Equipment technician with minimum 1 year of experience to join our friendly team on full-time basis.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Install, configure, and calibrate electronic instruments and control systems associated with HVAC units.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC electronic components to ensure proper system operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic faults in HVAC systems, including sensors, controllers, and other related devices.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to accurately diagnose and resolve issues with electronic systems.
- Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, local codes, and regulations regarding HVAC and electrical systems.
- Coordinate with HVAC technicians to manage the integration of electronic controls with mechanical components.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to monitor HVAC systems and optimize performance.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and other staff members on the operation a maintenance of electronic controls.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities performed.
- Stay current with advances in HVAC technology and electronics through continuing education and training opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or similar trade qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in electronic repairs, preferably within the HVAC industry.
- Familiarity with various types of HVAC systems and their electronic components.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuitry, digital controls, and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Physically capable of performing tasks such as climbing ladders, working in confined space and lifting equipment as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- A valid Refrigerant Handling License may be required.
Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 – $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
