On behalf of The Village Mosman, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for a culinary professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to creating dishes that showcase the finest fresh ingredients.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Overseeing all kitchen operations.
- Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner.
- Inspect, select, and source seasonal ingredients to ensure freshness and superior quality, keeping in mind budget.
- Planning, costing, and pricing menu items, order supply, and keep records and accounts.
- Supervise kitchen staff’s activities and procedures.
- Recruit and train kitchen staff.
- Taking stock of ingredients and equipment and placing orders to replenish stock.
- Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Creating new recipes to keep the menu fresh.
- Receiving feedback and making improvements where necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Hospitality Management and relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery.
- At least 01 year of proven experience as a Chef.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Professional cooking skills.
- Good manual dexterity.

- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to handle and manage fast paced environments.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $73,000 – $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
