Centre Coordinator - Not for Profit

They offer diverse programs in arts, languages, technology, and wellness, fostering community connections through workshops, courses, and events for adults of all backgrounds, supported by a vibrant volunteer network.
About the Role
Due to continued success, a dedicated Centre Coordinator is required on a permanent part time basis. Located in South Perth, you will be required to work Monday to Friday 25-30 hours per week (0.7 – 0.8 FTE) with flexible start/finish times which can accommodate school hours.
Reporting to the Committee, you will play a vital role in managing daily operations, overseeing volunteers, and coordinating community programs. You will maintain effective administrative processes, oversee financial processes, and foster community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive range of onsite programs and services
- Coordinate 8-10 week programs, monitor class registrations and enrolments and facilitate room bookings
- Actively participate in classroom setup and guide volunteers through the process
- Source additional volunteers and teachers on an ad hoc basis
- Assist with creation of marketing content to increase brand awareness
- Design and distribute a weekly email newsletter and oversee the creation of course advertisements for social media and print publications
- Develop partnerships with local businesses, schools, and community organisations
- Ensure governance compliance, including reporting and adherence to policies and procedures
- Handle budget management, financial tracking, and liaise with a contract bookkeeper
About You
- Strong background in communications, marketing, office/event coordination, and community engagement
- Ability to multitask, forecast tasks, and delegate effectively
- Hands-on and physically fit to assist with room and furniture setups
- Experience with accounting software and booking management systems
- Understanding of accounts payable, budgeting, and accrual accounting
- NPC clearance or willingness to obtain
