On behalf of JY Renovations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join their team and contribute for their ongoing success.
Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join timber and other materials.
- Install frameworks, structures, flooring, doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Work with various materials, including wood, metal, and composites.
- Repair and refurbish structural components, such as walls, ceilings, and flooring, as part of renovation projects.
- Modify and customize carpentry solutions to fit unique renovation requirements.
- Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, tradespeople, and clients to ensure timely project completion.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working condition.
- Assess and troubleshoot carpentry-related issues on-site, providing effective solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a carpenter in residential renovation projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength for manual labour.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $73,000 – $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
