Position Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Reviewing blueprints and technical specifications to determine installation requirements and marking appropriate reference points.
- Drilling openings, installing brackets, and performing necessary modifications to pipes, including bending and threading, for a secure installation.
- Installing, servicing, and maintaining key components, including compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems for various refrigerants.
- Connecting piping systems to equipment through methods such as bolting, soldering, or brazing.
- Charging systems with refrigerant or fluids and conducting leak checks to ensure the system is sealed and functioning.
- Testing and operating refrigeration units, adjusting and fine-tuning operational settings as necessary to maintain system efficiency.
- Removing test fluids or gases using specialized pumps and refilling the systems with the appropriate refrigerant for optimal performance.
- Diagnosing issues within the refrigeration units, troubleshooting, and replacing damaged parts or components to restore function.
- Reconfiguring system settings and reassembling systems.
- Documenting faults, repairs, and any corrective measures taken.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant qualifications
- A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar role.
- Communicating effectively with clients, explaining issues, and offering solutions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols when handling refrigerants, electrical components, and working in various environments.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between: $75,000 – $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
