SMYL Community Services, a registered charity and leading education and training provider requires a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Marine Mechanical Technology Trainer. The qualification prepares individuals for a career in the marine service and repair industry.Trainers are responsible for providing training, conducting assessments and supporting clients.  In addition they are responsible for assisting in the maintenance of course material to ensure students receive fair, valid, consistent and relevant service.The role will involve delivering training and assessment to at-risk youth on campus at our south west metropolitan College campuses. The College is a referral only ‘Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education' (CARE) School that caters specifically for students who have disengaged from mainstream education.  The College offers a full-time alternative education programme under the School Education Act 1999 (WA) for 14 to 17 year olds.All students referred to the College have significant barriers to education. Teaching and learning is adjusted, and support services provided, to meet students’ needs.
