SMYL Community College is looking for construction trainers to deliver innovative and flexible training to engage at-risk young people. The trainers will be required to work at one of our campuses in Mandurah, Rockingham and/or Cockburn.  The College is a referral only 'Curriculum and Re-engagement in Education' (CARE) School that caters specifically for students who have disengaged from mainstream education.  The College offers a full-time alternative education programme under the School Education Act 1999 (WA) for 14 to 17 year olds.All students referred to the College have significant barriers to education. Teaching and learning is adjusted, and support services provided, to meet students’ needs. As a CARE school the College 'provides a programme of study meeting the needs of an individual student delivered through an Individual Education Plan'. The successful applicant would be required to work as part of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary team whose objective is to engage all students in learning, no matter how difficult their behaviour.
