SMYL Community Services, a registered charity and leading education and training provider, invites applications from experienced and enthusiastic applicants to join its support/administrative services team to commence immediately.The Administrative Officer works closely with and provides a wide range of administrative support to SMYL Trainers and Field Officers.  They are also the first point of contact with clients and other stakeholders.The Administrative Officer will be required to perform a range of duties that may include:Undertake fortnightly trainee payroll.Assist in processing accounts receivable and payable including EFT.Provide support to ensure that reporting requirements are met and that databases are maintained as relevant and up to date.Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerised accounting system.Provide ongoing support to ensure that records of attendance, training delivery and other critical aspects of trainee records are accurate and up to date.Perform reception duties in a friendly and professional manner.Maintain a thorough and complete understanding of, and ensure compliance with all SMYL policies and procedures, Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015, Group Training Standards and other legal obligations related to training services and group training.To be successful in this position you should satisfy the following criteria: Proven work experience as a finance administrator, finance assistant or similar role. Hands on experience with business accounting software. High level administrative, organisational, time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrable computer skills and the ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, database, internet and email packages (for example VetTrak, CHIP and MYOB). A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the role of a Registered Training Organisation and Group Training Organisation. Well developed verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
