Founded in 2003 our client is a prominent civil construction company in Bunbury & the Southwest of Western Australia. Specialising in Civil Engineering and Construction, our client focuses on quality, ensuring excellence in project completion and is recognised for delivering impeccable services and products and providing innovative solutions in land development, industrial, commercial, and mining sectors in the Southwest of Western Australia. They are now seeking an experienced Project Manager, with experience in the mining sector, to lead their civil construction operations in their Greenbushes project.

About The Opportunity
This position has key responsibilities to contribute to & assist with the safety and efficiency of the projects and to align all activities with the organisation's strategic planning & objectives. This will include guaranteeing a pipeline of future works & scheduling and managing project works overseeing an engaged, positive & stable workforce.

Key Responsibilities
Working alongside the management team and site supervisors, operating from the Bunbury & Greenbushes offices, you will be responsible for delivering and managing civil construction projects in Greenbushes & other Southwest locations as required.

As Project Manager, you will:

• Manage end-to-end aspects of projects from initial setup to completion
• Complete projects on time, focusing on quality and budget whilst ensuring and promoting a safe workplace
• Be responsible for the financial, scheduling and safety performance of each project
• Proactively manage the information & documentation requirements for tenders, projects & all works undertaken
• Assist in the preparation & review of tenders & contracts
• Ensure the provision of resources and support to enable each project to function efficiently and effectively
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and lead contingency plans.
• Ensure the project’s operations are carried out within all statutory requirements
• In collaboration with Management, supervise the site workforce
• Assist with the development and review of the project budgets
• Ensure project invoicing is completed on time & manage outstanding invoicing within Company limits.

About You
As the Project Manager you will have

• Demonstrated Civil Construction Project Management experience preferably in the mining sector
• Construction trade or engineering/construction management/project management degree or suitable demonstrated practical experience
• Sound understanding of commercial contracts and maintaining client relationships - AS2124 & AS4000 desirable
• Sound understanding of  WHS Section 26 - mining rules & regulations
• Experience in responsibility for the financial, scheduling and safety performance of projects
• Experience in developing estimates & pricing work - desirable
• Strength in reading, interpreting & following plans & specifications
• Experience in preparing variations and progress claims
• Proven experience with managing safe work practices on-site
• Proven experience in writing & developing site procedure documents
• Excellent computer literacy skills using MS packages including Excel & MS Project
• Current driver's licence

• Salary package from $180,000 + Super

• Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00pm in Bunbury or 6:00am to 6:00 pm if travelling to site
