Our client is a boutique consultancy firm that provides technology, independent business and management consulting services. Since its establishment in 1989, they have undertaken projects with local, national and international clients across a range of industries including Government, Utilities, Science and Technology, Health, Tourism and Law and Order. They are seeking a Business Consultant, for their Perth CBD location, who has an analytical mind with outstanding commercial awareness and an aptitude for creative problem-solving. 

 

About the role
Reporting to the Consulting Director, you will be assigned various projects and progressively take on more ownership in the management of these projects as you grow within the organisation. You will utilise your exceptional written, analytical and interpersonal skills to prepare a business case for your clients. This will include understanding their needs, viewing it from a strategic perspective, conducting market research, analysing the risks and detailing how the change will be achieved. 

This dynamic role includes a multitude of responsibilities, including:

• Conducting research, surveys and interviews to gain an understanding of the client's business
• Detecting issues and investigating ways to resolve them
• Assessing the pros and cons of possible strategies
• Compiling and presenting information orally, visually and in writing
• Making recommendations for improvement, using models to test them and presenting findings to the client
• Developing and implementing new procedures or training
• Collecting information about their client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, surveys, reading reports etc.)
• Analyse and interpret data to inform findings and recommendation
• Present findings and suggestions to clients with ample justification and practical advice

About you

You will ideally have a tertiary qualification specialising in Business, Project Management, Auditing or a related field.

In this unique role, strong prioritisation skills, a natural willingness to learn and strong self-motivation are essential. Confidentiality and professionalism are also critical due to the classified nature of some government projects. Additionally, a warm, collaborative personality is key as you work closely with clients and the consultancy team.
